Antik Köy Restaurant won us over with a view that brings greenery and the sea together. Far from the noise of the city, it was a peaceful, rustic breakfast spot beneath pine trees. Our traditional sharing breakfast included tea served in a samovar, bazlama flatbread, baked mushrooms with melted cheese, tulum and white cheeses, honeycomb, clotted cream, butter, assorted jams and olives. The bread and jams were homemade. I am very particular about tea, yet theirs was excellent. The honeycomb was my favourite: it melted in my mouth and the honey was light, not overly sweet and genuinely delicious. Unfortunately, the clotted cream was much less impressive. This review describes our visit in September 2015. The old Antik Köy listing could not be independently confirmed as the same currently operating business in August 2026, so check the restaurant’s present name, opening hours and reservation details before travelling to Caferli.
Breakfast selection: good
Food quality: average
Service: satisfactory
Setting: rustic, beneath the trees, with a sea view
What we loved: the wonderful honeycomb
What we did not love: the clotted cream and butter
Historical price: TL 70 for a breakfast intended for three plus one menemen; the four of us still could not finish it. This was the price in 2015 and is not a current quotation.
Address at the time of our visit: Caferli Village–Yaylaköy road, Kuşadası
